The So-Called ‘Injustice’ of Actually Enforcing the Law: Cry Me a River

Debate on Law Enforcement Practices
Original Article | Author: Moira Donegan
The Trump administration intensified its confrontation with the judiciary by arresting Milwaukee judge Hannah Dugan. She allegedly helped an undocumented man evade Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents by redirecting him to a side exit from her courtroom. The FBI charged her with obstruction and "concealing an individual." This move is perceived as a tactic to intimidate judges and critics who oppose the administration's immigration policies. Critics argue that the charges are exaggerated, portraying the administration's response as disproportionate and aimed at instilling fear among those who challenge Trump's immigration enforcement efforts.

Here’s What They Meant to Say

The Rule of Law Sends the Left into a Tailspin

And here we go again, folks. The left is bemoaning the arrest of a Milwaukee judge, Hannah Dugan, for allegedly helping an undocumented individual evade ICE agents. Wow, what a crime-actually upholding the law! How very Trump of the Trump administration to enforce immigration laws, am I right? What does the left expect? A free pass for breaking the law?

A Dramatic Arrest? Or Just Another Day in Law Enforcement?

So the FBI moves in to arrest a judge publicly, and we’re supposed to clutch our pearls. The left claims this is a ‘dramatic’ move to silence dissent. Newsflash: enforcing the law isn’t drama, it’s the real world. If you don’t want a run-in with the law, maybe don’t help people circumvent it. Just a suggestion for all the lefty sympathizers out there.

The Hypocrisy Knows No Bounds

The left cries foul about the ‘sadistically disproportionate response’ of the FBI. Isn’t it just a tad hypocritical to demand law and order only when it suits your agenda? You can’t claim to believe in a government of laws and then throw a fit when those laws are enforced against someone on ‘your team.’ But then again, this is the same mindset that gave us sanctuary cities-selective respect for law and order might as well be on their manifesto.

Lessons Not Learned

Moira Donegan and her ilk can wax poetic about the ‘bigger Trump assault on judges’ all they want; aid and abet illegal activities, and you’re setting yourself up for a close encounter with the justice system. It’s not rocket science, it’s common sense-something sadly lacking in certain circles these days. In the world of leftist logic, even judges are above the law if it means sticking a thumb in the eye of immigration enforcement.
